Auntie Ruoya here to visit! Pt 2

If you ever come to visit us, we may take you to Rabbit Island. This is a beautiful island, fun to get to, and so relaxing. You've already seen many photos on this blog of this place as we go there as often as we can. However, I always take more photos of it because our family changes and each trip is memorable!!

Here is Wesley, almost 2 1/2 years old, looking at the boats, watching the waves, and being his usual energetic self. :)

A family photo before we board the boat to Rabbit Island!

There was a lot of wind that morning, and threatening rain. Without the rain cover for Briana's car seat I was a little worried about the process. However, we covered her up with life jackets, blankets, and her shade screen and she was perfectly dry and cozy!! Us on the other hand... haha, the waves were the choppiest we've ever seen! We had a pro driver and we road over those waves with ease. Every once in awhile, though, a wave would crash against the boat and get us wet! Wes hid under a towel, Briana was in her cocoon, and by the time we got to the island, the rest of us looked like we'd stepped out of a salt-water shower. Fun times!

As the day went on, the wind died down a little and the waves were fun to play in!

Briana eats in all kinds of interesting and beautiful places...

Briana's first trip to the ocean!

Briana in her little swimming suit!

Wes loves sleeping in the hammock on the beach!
Who can blame him?

Ah, yes. Friends, beaches, and drinking coconuts.
Such blessings make up a wonderful life.

We also enjoy Kep, the small town that is starting to become more touristy, but it hasn't quite hit yet.

Here is Ruoya and Briana enjoying breakfast at our resort!

And the girls by the swimming pool at our resort.

Wesley is quite at home in tuk tuks! He looks like a driver waiting for business! He always makes us laugh.

The Kep shoreline...

The "Welcome to Kep" welcome sign!
Kep is known for its crabs, so the crab sign is very appropriate.

Locals and tourists alike will enjoy spending the day in hammocks playing games, eating crab, and enjoying the fresh sea breezes.

We decided to pick one of the Crab Market restaurants to eat at for dinner. It was too dark to see the ocean, but we could hear it, enjoy the breeze, and what it lacked in ambiance made up with the food. The food at this place was AMAZING!! We tried all local dishes and wished we could just keep on eating.

Wes is obsessed with "flips" these days, as you'll see in the next post. I happened to capture his first somersault on camera!! This was in our cottage at the Kep resort.

Once again, sending hugs from our family to yours!
Don't you, too, want to come visit us like Ruoya did??? :)
Miss you all, but pressing forward!

Joe, Nica, Wes, & Bri
