Joe and Nica's World: August 2011

Our little family had a wonderful 10 days visit with my family in Ontario! Everyone had taken vacation from work, so we were able to enjoy both the beautiful ON summer weather, and wonderful quality time with each other--a great combination!

As you can imagine, there were a lot of people very excited to meet Baby Wes!!

Grandma has been itching to hold Wes since she first found out he was on his way! But was compounded when her trip to Shanghai the beginning of May was canceled due to Danny's unexpected health issue. Praise the Lord Danny and Wes are doing great and Grandma can finally enjoy her newest grandson!! :)

Absolutely precious with a "Peter Rabbit / Garden / Grow-with-me" theme. So many people came, and we were showered with Children's and Christian books, CDs, and DVDs, and amazing memories. We had a great BBQ hosted by Grant & Krista--the couple who did the food for our wedding. yuuuum!!!

Baby Wes learned how to enjoy his bath while at Grandma's house!!! haha...don't think he'd fit in the sinks anymore! We had to try it while we could. ;)

...and Dad even planned a birthday party for Mom and I, complete with a rose-bouquet cake! Amazing!! :)

I was so happy to be able to hang out with Dan again...He was in the hospital for 6 weeks, and we are SO GRATEFUL for his recovery and ability to participate in our family activities this summer. We love you, Dan!!
